Where Were You?

NYC Twin Towers at sundown. It's a message to all Americans who forgot or never understood what 9/11 means. This is significant because it remarks the day America was under attack and must never be forgotten.

On Sept 11, 2001, it was a peaceful morning in New York City until two airplanes collided the towers. This was a attack on American soil. It was filled with grief, trauma, and sadness. ​Everyone has lost their friends and families who were inside the buildings.

When the memorial site was opened on September 11, 2011, people come and listen to the story through pictures. They come every year to mourn for the loss of their family and friends. They also honor the brave first responders who made an ultimate sacrifice for protecting the people of New York City.   

Now, as years have gone by, millions of Americans are turning their back on 9/11. America pleads to "Never Forget", but people have already forgotten. They are eradicating the lessons that were taught after 9/11. Many survivors who taught us about Patriot's day are no longer on earth. If we forget 9/11, we won't be able to know what happened on that day.

The story of 9/11 must be taught to every generation in this nation. It should also be taught in schools and must be remembered every year.
